We're thrilled to be working in partnership with sportscotland to support the 2026 Summer of Sport initiative!
The extra funding will help us provide more opportunities for children and young people to get physically active.

If your kid(s) got to enjoy some of our free activities this summer then we'd love to hear from you - and them! We have two quick surveys: one for children and young people, and one for parents and carers.

How we are supporting...
Local clubs
Are you a sports club in East Dunbartonshire? Would you be interested in providing reduced cost or free activities for children and young people?
To access this funding clubs will need to have completed our Club Approval process. Don't worry, our team can support you with this!
Young people
Are you a young person aged 16-26? Would you like to volunteer in sport or enhance your CV?
Great! We are offering free training opportunities across a wide variety of sports until the end of March 2027.

What's happened so far?
What's happened so far in Summer of Sport
We're thrilled to say that our Summer of Sport has been really successful so far! Between June and August 2026...
- Kids enjoyed 21,500+ free swims.
- There were 2,400+ court hires, which included lots of free equipment being loaned out.
- Our pitches were booked more than 400 times for some football fun.
And this is just the beginning! Keep your eyes peeled to see the full impact of our 2026 Summer of Sport across East Dunbartonshire.
Thank you for arranging for my son to attend the ASN classes this week. He's had a great time and it's brought a tear to some members of the family to see him engage so calmly in a new activity.
